Analysts
Analysts at Cleary Gull are involved in all aspects of a transaction, from helping prepare marketing materials to executing transactions.  Analysts are primarily responsible for developing valuation models, analyses and compiling industry research on numerous private and public companies.  Analysts are expected to be active participants during every phase of the deal process.

Cleary Gull typically hires Analysts out of leading undergraduate business programs or with relevant work experience.  The Analyst position requires a superior academic and extracurricular record and an interest in financial analysis.  Successful candidates must also possess strong interpersonal skills, motivation and effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Associates
Associates are responsible for coordinating the preparation of marketing material for pitches and transactions.  Associates are expected to be active contributors during every phase of the deal process.  Associates lead the writing and development of both initial pitch material and descriptive memoranda and are expected to actively participate in drafting sessions and due diligence meetings.  Associates are also responsible for the integrity of the valuation analyses and merger and acquisition models.

Associates typically have three to five years of experience in investment banking or a related field.  Although an MBA degree is preferred, Cleary Gull also hires individuals with a J.D. or significant investment banking experience.

Analyst Job Description:

Qualifications:

Cleary Gull is interested in talking with graduates with one to two years of financial experience that majored in accounting or finance and achieved a GPA of 3.25 or higher.  The Analyst position requires a superior academic and extracurricular record and an interest in financial analysis.  Successful candidates must also possess strong interpersonal skills, exceptional motivation, and effective communication skills, both oral and written.
